A major incident has been declared as emergency services respond to several significant wildfires across South Wales.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service made the declaration as the fires continue to affect a number of communities and produce smoke that may be visible for miles.
Emergency services and partner agencies remain at the scenes, with members of the public being urged to stay away from affected areas so crews can work safely and effectively.
People should report suspicious behaviour or deliberate fire setting to the police by calling 101.
The public is being asked to call 999 only when reporting a new emergency to the fire service.
During the prolonged dry weather, residents are also advised not to use barbecues or fire pits and not to light fires outdoors.
People in affected areas should follow any local restrictions or safety advice.
Anyone living in an area affected by smoke is advised to keep windows and doors closed where possible and follow guidance from Public Health Wales.
