A series of road closures will be introduced in Cardiff when thousands of runners take part in the KidneyWales Cardiff 10K on Sunday 6 September.
The event begins at 10am, with rolling road closures operating along the route from 9am until 1pm.
Several roads in Cardiff’s Civic Centre will also close from 5am on Saturday 5 September until 6pm on Sunday 6 September while the race village is set up.

Rolling closures will be in place from 9am until 1pm on Sunday 6 September on the following roads:
- North Road, from Colum Road to Boulevard de Nantes
- North Road south of Boulevard de Nantes to the A1461
- The A1461 from North Road to Kingsway
- Kingsway from the A1461 to Duke Street
- Duke Street and Castle Street
- Cowbridge Road East from Castle Street to Cathedral Road
- Boulevard de Nantes from Park Place and Stuttgart’s Strasse to North Road
- The Friary and Friary Gardens
- Westgate Street
- Wood Street
- Golate
- Guildhall Place
- Quay Street
- Central Square
- Scott Road
- Havelock Street
- Park Street
- St Mary Street from Mill Lane to Guildhall Place

A lane closure will also be in place on Western Avenue from Excelsior Road to Mill Lane.
Access to Blackweir will be available through Park Place and Corbett Road. Access to Queen Anne Square will be managed through Colum Road and Corbett Road, with vehicles leaving through Corbett Road onto Colum Road.
The banned right turn from Colum Road into Corbett Road will be temporarily revoked for access to Queen Anne Square only. Traffic management stewards will control the junction.
From 9am until 6pm, access to Greyfriars Road will be managed at the junction of Boulevard de Nantes and Park Place to allow bus movements and access for residents and businesses in the area.
