Families visiting The Red Dragon Centre have made more than 1,000 eco pledges since Brick Draig launched in July, as the free, brick-built dragon display has proved a hit with families throughout the summer.
The Centre marked the first-ever public display of the unique brick-built dragon models, with the 12 baby dragons making their debut in Cardiff Bay as part of the interactive summer experience.
With just a few days left to meet the dragons before they leave Cardiff Bay, families have until 31 August to take part in the interactive experience, discover the elemental realms of the 12 baby dragons and make their own eco pledge.
Representing the elements of Fire, Earth, Water and Air, each of the 12 dragons has its own eco mission. Families can meet the full collection at the Dragons’ Den before following clues around the Centre to match the dragons with their elemental realms.
Emma Constantinou, Marketing Manager at The Red Dragon Centre, said: “It’s been fantastic to see how warmly Brick Draig has been received by families this summer. Reaching more than 1,000 eco pledges is a brilliant milestone and shows just how much children have enjoyed getting involved with the dragons and their missions.
“With only a few days left before Brick Draig finishes, we’d encourage anyone who hasn’t taken part yet to come along and meet the dragons while they’re still here. It’s completely free, and with so much else to enjoy at The Red Dragon Centre, it’s a great way to spend a few hours together in Cardiff Bay.”
Visitors can meet the dragons at the Dragons’ Den and scan the QR code to begin their interactive mission. Once every dragon has been correctly matched, children can make their own eco pledge and discover which dragon realm they belong to.
