Wales is set for a largely dry and bright Saturday before winds strengthen on Sunday, with rain expected to arrive overnight.
The Met Office forecast suggests there will be opportunities to enjoy some weekend sunshine, although Saturday will feel fresher than recently, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 20°C.
Any early showers on Saturday morning should fade, leaving plenty of dry and bright weather across Wales. Gentle winds will accompany the brighter conditions, although cloud will begin arriving from the west later in the day.
Sunday will bring some warm sunshine, but conditions will turn windy ahead of rain overnight into Monday.
The brighter weekend weather follows a wet start to Friday, with some heavy rain and breezy conditions. Skies are expected to brighten from the northwest through the morning, leaving sunny spells and isolated afternoon showers.
Most places will then stay dry on Friday night, with clear periods and easing winds. The odd shower could affect north Wales, while some rural spots will turn chilly as temperatures fall to a minimum of 9°C.
Looking ahead, Monday will see some sunshine after the overnight rain, before another spell of wet and windy weather arrives later. Sunshine and blustery showers are forecast for Tuesday.
