Motorists are being reminded to expect daytime disruption on the A4119 this week as testing work takes place on a bridge near Miskin.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has confirmed that phased lane closures will be needed on the A4119 between the Castell Mynach junction and the M4 Junction 34 roundabout.
The restrictions will be in place for five days, from Monday, September 21, until Friday, September 25, while concrete testing is carried out on the Miskin Manor accommodation bridge.
Lane closures will operate between 9am and 2.30pm each day.
The council said the timings have been scheduled outside the busiest morning and afternoon travel periods in an effort to minimise disruption for motorists.
The A4119 will remain open throughout the works and a full road closure will not be required.
Contractor Ekspan Ltd has been appointed by the council to carry out the testing, with the work being funded through the Highways Capital Programme.
Traffic management will be required while the testing takes place, and motorists travelling between the M4 and the wider Llantrisant and Talbot Green area may want to allow additional time for their journeys.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council thanked residents and road users for their cooperation while the work is completed.
