The inaugural Pro Steel Padel Cup has raised more than £450 for charity after bringing businesses and industry contacts together for an afternoon of competition in Cwmbran.
Held at the Welsh Padel Centre on Friday 18 September, the event was organised by Pontypool-based steel specialist Pro Steel Engineering.
The first Pro Steel Padel Cup brought together friends of the company, industry contacts and some new faces for an afternoon both on and off the courts.
Following a series of competitive matches and rallies, Sergio Alarcon of Ceryn Engineering and Neil Smith of Pro Steel Engineering emerged as the inaugural champions, taking home the trophy and becoming the first winners of the Pro Steel Padel Cup.
The event also raised more than £450 for the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity close to the hearts of the team at Pro Steel Engineering.
Richard Selby, Managing Director at Pro Steel Engineering, said: “While there could only be one winning pair, the real success of the day was the atmosphere. It was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with long-standing connections, make new ones, and enjoy some friendly competition in great company.
“We’re also delighted to have raised more than £450 for the Alzheimer’s Society, helping to support the vital work they do for people living with dementia and their families, a charity very close to the hearts of us here at Pro Steel.”
