Key new appointment for Cardiff insurance team

One of the UK’s leading insurance brokers has expanded its Cardiff team with a key new appointment.

Towergate Insurance Brokers has welcomed Louise Jones as a specialist development executive in Legal Indemnities, a niche area of the real estate property sector.

A law graduate with over five years’ experience in the sector, Louise works alongside law firms, property developers and financial institutions from across the UK to structure bespoke indemnity policies and risk transfer solutions.

Louise joins the team at an exciting time of growth, as Towergate continues to provide expert insurance advice to an array of clients across south Wales.

Specialising in Rights of Light indemnity, Louise is keen to grow the Legal Indemnity footprint for Towergate both locally and on a national level. From large commercial development projects valued over £150m, to varied Defective Title issues and in-depth due diligence for lenders and investment funds, her advice provides clients with the peace of mind that not only is their asset protected, but their investment and profit is safe too.

Louise said: “Developers can be faced with huge risk challenges throughout the course of a project, some of which could have a catastrophic effect on the viability of a scheme. It is my role to minimise as many of those challenges as possible, to facilitate the process through to completion and beyond; it is vital to collaborate closely with the client and their lawyers to understand the drivers behind the deal and the outcomes they are aiming to achieve.

“I am really looking forward to working with such a strong team here in Cardiff, and also engaging with the wider Towergate family nationally. The Legal Indemnity sector is a relatively new line of business for the company, and I am excited to be involved in driving it forward.”
