Local pub-goers at The Fox & Hounds in Whitchurch were in for a surprise last night when members of the Cardiff Male Choir broke out into song following a concert next door.

The Cardiff Male Choir were performing with Koninklijk Kerkraads Mannenkoor yesterday evening (1st May), at the St Teilo’s Catholic Church in Whitchurch. Following the performance, members and concert-goers decided to call into the pub next door, The Fox & Hounds.

    This is what happened next…

It’s safe to say that Wales reaffirmed its reputation as the ‘land of song’

Founded in 1898, Cardiff Male Choir is one of the oldest choirs in South Wales. The choir is renowned for singing a wide variety of songs, including; Welsh hymns and arias, Jazz classics and gospel numbers along with a host of other numbers including the odd latest hit.

The Cardiff Male Choir regulars meet at Whitchurch Sports & Social Club, Velindre Road, Whitchurch, every Wednesday between 7.30pm and 9.30pm for rehearsal. If you’re thinking of joining, they say you’re more than welcome to go along and have a chat.

You can find out more about the choir on their website – http://www.cardiffmalechoir.co.uk/
