Miss Jones in Whitchurch is going to be turned into a brand new Irish Bar and kitchen and it’s going to be grand!

The Irish Bar Group have earmarked this location for the first of 3 new Jack Russell’s bars & Kitchens coming to Cardiff. The first will be opening this winter after a 1 million pound investment and refurbishment project, creating over 100 jobs in the city centre.

The second site is planned  for the old building next door to Gareth Bale’s pub Elevens, further establishing Womanby Street as one of the top places to go for world class entertainment. With over 30 years of experience and both Welsh and Irish heritage, the group of investors are ready to bring the craic to Cardiff!

Open seven days and nights a week, Jack Russell’s will offer classic Irish breakfasts from 9am and upmarket food throughout the day. The menus will take inspiration from traditional brasseries and grills with an authentic Irish twist. Burgers, steaks and typical Irish meals like Boxty, will be available for you to sink your teeth into!

Of course the drinks will be flowing so you can go on the gargle with an eclectic mix of premium brands and time-honoured Irish classics. These will be surrounded by specialist Irish whiskey, gin and other spirits that will compliment an exclusive cocktail menu. You’re going to be needing a few as well because you’ll be doing the jig late into the evenings, with Irish music in the day and traditional live Irish bands on into the night!

You can enjoy all this spread over 2 floors and surrounded by furniture which has been sourced from across Ireland. Some of which will be over 150 years old! The whole place, right down to the smell of the bar and the sound of the beer pumps will ooze that authentic Irish hospitality.

The best bit is that the renovations will transform a 3,000 sq. foot building that’s stood derelict for years into a 6,000 sq. foot atmospheric venue, that Cardiff will be proud to call its own. One of the key attractions of this new development will be the large outdoor area spread across two floors. It will have a full heating system so the temperature will never dip below 21 degrees all year round, making it the perfect place for your socials of all seasons!

One thing is for sure, if you’re up for having a whale of time in true Emerald Isle fashion then Jack Russell’s is going to be the place for you!
