Welsh fabricator, Dudley’s Aluminium have been awarded the Overall Partner Award at the Willmott Dixon Supply Chain Awards for their work as a Wilmott Dixon Partner.

Dudley’s Aluminium was awarded the accolade for their work to date and more recently the Taff Vale Redevelopment, a large window and curtain walling package.

The Taff Vale Redevelopment is a £38 million project which, upon completion, will be made up of offices as well as leisure facilities including a gym and a library. The site of the redevelopment is based at the heart of Pontypridd and will provide opportunities for Rhondda Cynon Taf and the South East Wales Region. Ongoing developments on this project have helped Dudley’s Aluminium to secure this award.

The Supply Chain Awards celebrate the partners of Willmott Dixon and highlight their successes. In a video played before the announcement of the Overall Partner Award Dudley’s Aluminium was praised by Dave John, Senior Operations Manager at Wilmott Dixon for their professionalism, honesty, and performance in design and whilst onsite, all of which were described as exceptional.

During the judging stage Dudley’s aluminium scored highly on every aspect of performance and have received praise for self-sufficiency onsite and producing an ‘excellent quality product’ whilst working on the Taff Vale Redevelopment.

Colin Shorney, Managing Director of Dudley’s Aluminium said: “We are delighted to have won the Overall Partner Award. We have worked with Wilmott Dixon on many projects and the Taff Vale project in particular has been an exciting one with progress being made every day.

“Our whole team from design through to procurement, production and site installation work extremely hard and its their continued dedication to each project that has played a large part in Dudley’s receiving this award. We look forward to completion of the Taff Vale project and are excited to see what’s next.”

With a reputation for quality, Dudley’s has been recognised with several other industry-related accreditations. The company is CHAS and Achilles accredited, Constructionline registered and certified to manufacture “Secured by Design” products. The fabricator also worked on the redevelopment of Central Square Cardiff and the construction of the BBC Cymru Wales Headquarters in Cardiff, which was named Project of the Year at the Constructing Excellence in Wales Awards.
