Welsh aluminium fabricator Dudley’s Aluminium will be welcoming the new year with further new contracts as they approach the end of a successful 2019

2019 has seen a number of successes for Dudley’s Aluminium as they won the Overall Partner Award at the Willmott Dixon Supply Chain awards, have expanded their team, and secured a number of contracts including the GKN Aerospace Research and Development facility and the School of Architecture and Build Environment at the University of Wolverhampton.

Dudley’s have now gone on to secure further contracts to take into the new year. These include the North Devon Enterprise Centre in Barnstaple and three new schools as part of the Department for Education Construction Framework with ISG plc.

The North Devon Enterprise Centre in Barnstaple will be the flagship of the business park, providing high quality office and collaboration space with tailored support for entrepreneurs and SMEs that have potential for high growth and innovation. The project will include curtain walling and thermally enhanced casement windows provided by Metal Technology and the project is expected to be completed in summer 2020.

The three new schools will include Norton Hill Primary School in Midsomer Norton, Churchward School in Swindon, and Badbury Park Primary School in Swindon. The schemes by the Department for Education will also include improvements to the local highways and the construction of new footpaths and a cycleway. Metal Technology windows and curtain walling will be installed throughout the builds which are estimated to be completed in spring 2020.

Colin Shorney, Managing Director of Dudley’s Aluminium, said: “It’s been a great year for Dudley’s. The team have worked so hard and we’ve been involved in some really great projects. To win Willmott Dixon’s Overall Partner Award recently was a great achievement for us and the team all worked really hard for it.

“We’re really looking forward to 2020. With a new year comes a host of new opportunities and projects for us to be involved with. To be taking these new contracts through with us as well as our ongoing projects is a great way to kick start the new year. We’re looking forward to seeing what else 2020 has in store for Dudley’s.”

Dudley’s is CHAS and Achilles accredited, Constructionline registered and certified to manufacture “Secured by Design” products. The fabricator also worked on the redevelopment of Central Square Cardiff and the construction of the BBC Cymru Wales Headquarters in Cardiff, which was named Project of the Year at the Constructing Excellence in Wales Awards.
