Vehicle recovery, Maintenance and recovery truck distribution business Caldicot Group, based in Monmouthshire, is starting the new year on a positive by creating a number of new jobs in a huge recruitment drive.

The recruitment drive is necessary to support the group’s 2020 expansion plans and to further bolster roadworks and general recovery operations across all of its depots.

The main areas of recruitment will be Caldicot, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cinderford, as well as national road contracts.  The open roles range from Light and HGV service van technicians, Spec Lift Operators (C1E licence required), Slide Bed Recovery Operators (C1E licence required), RIPV Operators (C1E licence required) and Heavy Recovery Operators (CE licence required). Full training can be provided for new recruits.

Gavin Edwards, Managing Director, Caldicot Group, said:

“Caldicot Group is a first-class brand that works with high-calibre businesses such as Bidfoods, Monmouthshire council, Green flag, AA, Forest traffic, Colas, Chevron and many more. We are looking for top-class recruits that want to be part of a growing business and be proud to represent what we are achieving. We have big plans for 2020 and we are looking forward to welcoming new members of the team to help take the business forward.”

As part of expansion plans, Caldicot Group’s roadworks and recovery divisions are being developed and the new roles will be deployed to these areas to help facilitate the growth. One of the main objectives of the development is to provide premium services to the existing and growing customer base.

Lyndon Welsher, Group National Sales Manager, said:

“2019 was a great year for Caldicot group which saw turnover grow from £3m in 2018 to £6m. Taking on new employees will bring in the support to help grow the business and contribute to reaching our target of a £7m turnover in 2020.”

The last business quarter of 2019, Caldicot Group enjoyed a number of successful new business wins, including projects for Newport-based Forest Traffic Services LTD, Blackwell-based H W Martin and Reading-based, Chevron Traffic Management.
