A seller from Cardiff has started selling the custom mini figures at auction, a day after they sold out at St David’s Shopping Centre.

The limited-edition Lego figures were designed to celebrate St David’s Day and were put on sale yesterday with a minimum donation of £5. The collection was designed to benefit Welsh charities.

However, they have since started to appear at auction for almost twenty times that amount with a starting bid of £99.99.

The five ‘Mini Welsh Legends’ include Gareth Bale, Gareth ‘Alfie’ Thomas, Ruth Jones as Nessa, Sir Tom Jones and Dame Shirley Bassey. Fifty of each mini figure were created and were available to purchase. After selling out in record time yesterday, you now only purchase these on the secondary market.

Each of the Lego mini figures have a starting bid of £99.99

The seller minigametrade, is selling 4 of the 5 Lego mini figures on eBay with a starting price of £99.99. At the time of writing, the only figure to have bids is Ruth Jones as Nessa with 7 hours to go until the auction ends.

The seller promises to “dispatch with speed” and will donate 10% of the sale proceeds to charities Velindre, Pride Cymru, Ty Hafan, Valley’s Kids and Noah’s Ark.
