Since the beginning of lockdown, Mrs Buckét, the specialist cleaning operation for Wales and the South West, has been deployed in Royal Mail’s Swansea and Cardiff depots, working non-stop to keep the area clean. As the business’s first 24/7 operation, this marks an integral milestone for the company’s growth plans.
Royal Mail recognised the need for around-the-clock high-quality and in-depth cleaning and sanitation; a crucial addition to daily life for the postal giant in order to keep both its workers and the general public safe.
This significant contract follows the company’s recent launch of its COVID-19 Rapid Response team, a decontamination service specially designed to sanitise buildings that have had confirmed or suspected cases of coronavirus. Already this new offering has had significant pick up in the area, with several public services opting for specialist decontamination.
Rachael Flanagan, Mrs Buckét founder, commented: “COVID-19 has created a need to drastically change how we work, not just our business but the cleaning industry as a whole. By offering a round-the-clock service, we can ensure that businesses that are in constant need of deep-cleaning or sanitation can be catered for any time of the day or night. Our main priority is the safety of the people we work for and their wider communities, and for the likes of Royal Mail, this is of key importance.”

This work being undertaken by Mrs Buckét opens a stream of opportunities for the company in the near future, as manufacturers and businesses across the region recognise the need to have high quality, regular cleaning operations.
