Law firm Blake Morgan has announced the promotion of a new Partner in its Wales office.

Joanne Thompson works in the commercial litigation team covering Wales and the South Coast. She specialises in procurement challenges, commercial and contractual disputes, post-completion and corporate disputes, professional negligence and partnership disputes. Joanne has been with Blake Morgan since 2000 and completed her training with the firm before qualifying in 2002. She was listed as a rising star in the tier 1 commercial litigation team in the 2020 Legal 500 directory.

Eve Piffaretti, head of Blake Morgan in Wales, said:

“Joanne’s well-deserved promotion to Partner reflects her expertise and continued commitment to providing first-class legal solutions to her clients as well as her ongoing work to support Blake Morgan’s growth aspirations and commercial success.

“Joanne is an exceptionally talented lawyer who has played a critical role in helping to position her practice area – and the firm as a whole – as a leading authority.   She provides expert insight and advice in a meaningful and accessible way and is held in high regard by clients and colleagues alike. She is also highly committed to developing her practice in Wales.

“I’d like to offer my congratulations to Joanne, and I look forward to continuing to work with her in her new role.”
