Stephen Rosser, the Chief Executive Officer of national law firm Clarke Willmott LLP – which has an office in Cardiff – has been re-elected by members for a further term of office and his first task has been to announce a further year of growth.

Mr Rosser was originally elected CEO of Clarke Willmott in 2010. Prior to that, he worked in the firm’s Commercial Property Division, specialising in regeneration, development and funding. He is ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers Band 1 for Real Estate.

Jonathan Morton, Chairman of Clarke Willmott, said:

“I am delighted that Stephen will continue in the role of CEO until May 2023.”

    Mr Morton added:

“Stephen became CEO in 2010 at a time when the firm faced challenges as a result of the 2008/09 financial crisis.

“Since then he, with the support of an excellent team, has overseen the development of the firm to the position that it is in today – a position that sees us enjoying a long and sustained period of growth.

“It is great news that he will now have the opportunity to oversee the next phase of the firm’s development.”

    Mr Rosser said:

“I am honoured to have been re-appointed as CEO of Clarke Willmott, at what is a very exciting time for the firm.

“Our results show revenue of £46.7 million up from £43.2 million last year and significantly up from £32.2 million five years ago so 8% growth in revenue in the last year and 9% per annum over that entire period. Last year also saw our equity profit increase by 25% to £6.5 million.

“What is really pleasing is that this is almost exclusively organic growth. As a result of our diverse business, we are well-positioned to continue this and I look forward to leading the firm as we push forward in accordance with our strategic plan.

“It is especially exciting to see recent progress in Manchester and London as we embark on a new phase for these offices in new premises and with additional, high quality teams having joined the firm.”
