A specialist espresso bar and small batch coffee roastery has been announced for a new development in Swansea city centre. Coaltown Coffee is the latest business to take up a unit at the Cupid Way link that connects the city centre with Swansea Arena and the new bridge over Oystermouth Road. The unit – leased by Swansea Council – will be the second retail premises run by the business, following on from the opening of its Ammanford coffee shop and roastery in 2018. A much-awaited public art trail featuring 115 Snoopy sculptures, big and small, has been launched in Cardiff, Caerphilly and Porthcawl to raise money for Dogs Trust. A Dog’s Trail with Snoopy began today (Friday 8th April) and will finish on Sunday 5th June. The individually designed sculptures are on show through the streets and open spaces of Cardiff, Caerphilly and Porthcawl forming a trail approximately 23km long in total. A memorial hall built to commemorate a village’s First World War dead has been given a major makeover by a housing association and a construction group. The Memorial Hall Institute in Llandudno Junction was built in the 1920s using bricks shipped from Flanders, in Belgium, the scene of many of the great battles of the war, and its foundation stone was laid in 1927 by Lloyd George.
