Monday 5 April 2021 marks the official fiftieth birthday of Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff. The multi-artform venue was the first of its kind in Wales. CEO of Chapter, Andy Eagle said: “Chapter was originally set up by a community of artists and that remains its foundation and principal purpose. South Wales Police is currently in attendance at Nolton Street, Bridgend following a fatal house fire which was reported at approximately 9.15pm on Tuesday, 30th March, 2021. One person has died and their family is aware and being supported. Nolton Street remains closed and a police cordon has been set up outside the premises. Extensive damage has been caused to the building, and neighbouring properties affected by the fire had to be evacuated, but nobody else was injured. The vaccines are given strictly by appointment only to invited local residents who are in the correct priority group and due for their first dose.
