An engineering business specialising in wind turbine components is planning to increase capacity five-fold with the support of Lloyds Bank. Llanfyrnach-based business Greystone Technical, which designs and manufactures high-end components for agricultural wind turbines, has secured a new £100k funding package to support the purchase of new manufacturing equipment. The investment will enable the business to increase its output of high tensile steel products by 500% and build on its existing £350k-a-year turnover. Among the new vehicles introduced to its 799-strong fleet is a low-emission hybrid rapid response car, the first of its kind for the service. The Trust has also commissioned new and improved emergency and non-emergency ambulances, as well as a fleet maintenance vehicle to help with the upkeep of its new haul. Amazon and employee volunteers in Swansea have donated £1,000 to Swansea-based charity, Kids Cancer Charity, as part of the company’s global Amazon Goes Gold campaign during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.  Amazon Goes Gold is Amazon’s annual campaign to raise awareness and funds during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Young people are launching the second phase of their campaign to beat the stigma of youth loneliness this week, as new research from the Co-op Foundation finds the Spring lockdown made even more young people feel lonely.  Lonely Not Alone asks everyone to show they care about youth loneliness by wearing yellow socks and sharing their ‘Outfit of the Day’ on social media with #OOTDYellowSocks. The Learning Tree Day Nursery, which provides dedicated childcare to more than 50 children in Cardiff City Centre, has opened its newly landscaped garden.
