An Anglesey Rainbows group has secured a £3,500 grant from Tesco’s Bags of Help Scheme. The funding for the 2nd Holyhead Rainbows will allow the group to hold yet more adventures across the island to empower girls aged from five to seven-years-old. “This Bags of Help funding from Tesco has been a vital boost to our unit and we’ve already been able to hold a range of exciting  trips that were near on impossible for us to take kids on this time last year,” said Rainbows leader, Dona Williams. A new educational toolkit designed to help dental teams prevent and identify mouth cancer has been launched by Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW). Mouth cancer, which can affect the lips, tongue, cheeks and throat, affects approximately 8000 patients a year in the UK and is the eleventh most common cancer worldwide. However, survival rates for patients are greatly improved if the cancers are diagnosed early and treated rapidly. Officers continuing to investigate the disappearance of Jordan Moray are appealing to a man named Kevin Humphreys to get in touch. Kevin recently wrote to South Wales Police and provided some information which officers believe may help their ongoing investigation. Attempts to identify Mr Humphreys have so far proved negative, so it’s hoped that a public appeal will encourage him to get in touch once again.
