Pembrey Circuit will host the inaugural Welsh Motorsport & Supercar Festival on Sunday 22nd September 2024, exactly 31 years to the day since the late Brazilian F1 racing driver Ayrton Senna set the fastest lap around the home of Welsh motorsport. Richard Sullivan was arrested by plain-clothed officers while they were on patrol in Ely, Cardiff. The officers witnessed a suspected drug deal near Gough Road between a man on a pushbike and the occupants of a car. The car was stopped in Wheatley Road and the occupants were found to have a wrap of heroin. The cyclist was seen to enter and then leave a block of flats in Ogmore Road, Caerau. Business leaders want Sir Richard Branson to come to rescue after an investigation revealed over 20% of direct trains between North Wales and London get cancelled. The North Wales Business Council is calling on the legendary entrepreneur to launch an “open access” rail path on the route operated by Avanti West Coast. Bridgend County Borough Council and its partners at Awen Cultural Trust have provided an update on the progress of the £20m redevelopment project at the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl. The 1932, Art Deco building is currently undergoing enabling works, which started in early June, forming an essential part of the preparation of the building in readiness for the main renovation work later this year.
