Bellway has successfully launched its Longwood Grange development to the public in Lisvane.

The housebuilder opened a sales office at the site in September, where the first properties were released onto the market for purchase. More than five homes have already been sold since the development opened.

Construction work is underway at the development, off Maerdy Lane, which is part of a wider new neighbourhood being created at the northern edge of Cardiff.

Longwood Grange will comprise 270 new homes, including 216 properties for private sale and 54 affordable homes for local people.

Daniel Shone, Sales Manager of Bellway Wales, said: “Longwood Grange will bring much-needed new housing to this highly desirable area just five miles from the centre of Cardiff. We will be delivering a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes for sale which will appeal to a wide variety of prospective buyers such as families, first-time buyers, and downsizers.

“Because of the Longwood Grange’s proximity to the city centre and easy access to both the M4 and A48, we are confident that the development will prove popular with people working in Cardiff and those commuting further afield.

“We are expecting a high level of interest in the homes at Longwood Grange and that was evident when welcoming buyers to the development’s sales office launch in September. We have appointments booked on site well in advance so we’d encourage buyers to contact us ahead of time to make their visit.

“Construction work is progressing well on the site and we are scheduled to complete the first homes ready for buyers to move into during the early part of next year.”

Longwood Grange will form part of the wider 1,000-home Churchlands development which is taking shape on land between Lisvane and Pontprennau.

The 216 private homes Bellway is delivering at the site will comprise a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom houses. The homes for affordable rent and shared ownership will feature a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom houses.

The housebuilder is set to open three showhomes at the development towards the end of the year.
