Welshpool-based manufacturer Trailhead Fine Foods aims to reach more customers by listing five of its range of award-winning Get Jerky snacks with Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler.

Castell Howell Foods, which supplies customers across Wales, the border counties and the South West of England, is providing a new route to market for the premium PGI Welsh Beef jerky snacks, which are high in protein and gluten free.

The wholesaler is stocking the Original, BBQ, Spicy Chilli, Black Pepper and  Hot Smoked Chipotle Get Jerky flavours.

“We’re always keen to add to our range of Welsh produced foods and Get Jerky is a great addition. Made using Welsh Beef, it’s gluten free, high in protein, aligning well with our farming roots and continuous support for the Welsh agriculture,” said Chris Dennis, Castell Howell Foods’ purchasing director.

“We have heard only positive things about Get Jerky and listing the snacks with us provides an extra route to market for Trailhead Fine Foods.”

Emma Morris, Trailhead Fine Foods’ sales director, said the company was looking forward to the extra exposure provided by the listing of its snacks with Castell Howell Foods.

“As a recognised Welsh brand, I think it’s important that we join forces with Castell Howell Foods, using their experience and distribution channels to reach more customers across Wales, the border counties and South West England.

“We also hope to add our new Wild Venison Jerky to the list in the coming months following a very positive response at the launch of the Original and Spicy Chilli flavours at the GWCT Welsh Game Fair and lunch!2022 tradeshow in the last week.”
