Epic Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto V is this week’s free game that people can download and play at home.

Every week, Epic Games has been releasing a free mystery available without charge in its online store. The games are available for PCs and Macs.

Originally released in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V is made by Rockstar Games and is one of the all time top selling games. It has an age rating, meaning it is only suitable for those ages 18 and above.

The game made available for download, Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition, includes the complete GTAV story, Grand Theft Auto Online and all existing gameplay upgrades and content. You’ll also get the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack, the fastest way to jumpstart your criminal empire in GTA Online.

GTA 5 became available to download for free yesterday and within hours, crashed the Epic Games website.

How to download GTA 5 for free

    1. Go to Epic Games and register for free
    2. Enable two factor authentication on your account. i.e. SMS or email verification every time you sign in
    3. You will need to download the Epic Games app on your computer (again this is all free)
    4. Navigate and find GTA 5 in the Epic Centre store and click download (totally free)

The game is free to download until 21st May 2020 (4PM). If you download it before the offer ends, you can keep it forever and for free.
