How to get your hands on your own custom Lego minifigure

Last week, hundreds of people queued in Cardiff to get their hands on a limited-edition Welsh legend minifigure.

The five exclusive limited-edition custom mini figures of Welsh legends created using real Lego pieces were only available to purchase on the 1st March exclusively at St David’s shopping centre, with all proceeds from the collection going to Welsh charities.

The figures were in a limited supply of fifty and were quickly snapped up.

It’s not the first time Welsh celebrities have been given a Lego makeover. In fact, you used to be able to get Welsh rock-band, Stereophonics made from Lego complete with a stage. How cool is that? You can pick up a set at auction for around £50.

If you’re starting to have regrets and don’t have a spare £100-£200 to buy a Welsh legend on the collectors market, then don’t worry, your luck might be in after all.

There are a number of websites that allow you to create your own custom Lego minifigures, and best of all, they cost a fraction of the price. You can either choose to create your own Welsh legend, or go for something completely bespoke and create your own.

If you missed out on the Nessa Lego miniature for example, you can pick one up at MiniFigs.me website for only £12.99. And if you’re super fan of the sitcom ‘Gavin & Stacey’, you can pick up the whole hang including Uncle Bryn and Smithy for £49.99!
