Clogged drains can be nastiest and very difficult to tackle. Drains when clogged, can cause a serious level of irritation and uneasiness for you. Not only are clogged drains nasty, but they also stop other homely tasks as well, hence drains need to be unclogged as soon as possible.

Now you must be wondering is it a good idea to Unclog Drains with vinegar and baking soda? Absolutely! Using these two substances requires very little drama and unclogs your drain smoothly with very little complexity. Follow these steps to unclog your drain with baking soda and vinegar.
Step 1: Start pouring a bucket of warm water into the drain.

Step 2: Pour a small cup of baking soda and a single cup of water/ pour a vinegar solution

Step 3: Cover this with a drain plug and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 4: Start pouring water into the drain again.
A bubbling reaction created from a vinegar solution or a baking soda solution helps in loosening the drain clog. The boiling water that you have poured in 4 steps removes the clog from your pipes. Vinegar and baking soda can act as a natural drain cleaner.

How Vinegar and Baking Soda Help Unclog Drains?

Baking soda is a base, sodium bicarbonate. Vinegar is built up of acetic acid and water. A combination of this reaction happens where molecules get exchanged, leading to water and carbon dioxide bubbles forming throughout the clogged drain, finally breaking it up to make loose material.

Drainage pipes are not created by extra pressure, unlike typical water systems. While using boiling water to flush your drain, this pressure is added. With respect to gravity, the pressure eliminates unwanted crud out the unclogged drains and pipes. Vinegar, baking soda, and boiling water help in cleaning the drain naturally, but you will need a stronger source such as liquid-plumr, that completely unclogs the drains.

Why Use Vinegar and Baking Soda as a Drain Cleaner?

Eventually, vinegar and baking soda work as a natural drain cleaner on tough drain clogs. There are various benefits of regular drain cleaning, it helps your drains remain unclogged for a longer time. Considering your drain clogs are very tough to be dissolved, in that case, a powerful drain unblocker can be used to eliminate those clogs. You can also use liquid-plumr for better results as it is considered a very strong clog cleaner. They are products that are safe for pouring into drains and can actually clean them from inside efficiently, even better than many natural remedies.

These liquid-plumr cleaners are made up of two powerful liquids which combinedly create a deep cleaning lather to dissolve funk and hair throughout the pipe, assisting to unclog severely tough drains. The main active ingredients as a cleaner are sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide. They emit heat to appropriately dissolve drain blockage.

    Bottom Line

When homemade solutions fail to clean your clogged drains, vinegar and baking soda act efficiently and unclog your drain without any serious difficulty. They can resolve the problems caused by smelly drains and make them fresh and clear. There are some steps to be followed while cleaning your drain with these two substances.
