    Is Residential Treatment Helpful?

Individuals in residential treatment centers are provided with round-the-clock care, counseled about drug and alcohol dependency, and attend support groups to help them overcome their substance dependence. These centers cater to people of all ages, and stays can last from six months to over a year.

Centers such as Primrose Lodge Surrey enable patients to receive treatment that requires them to reside at a facility for an extended period. These centers provide teens and adults suffering from addiction-related complications safe, effective, and evidence-based care. A therapy program in a residential setting enables participants to work with mental health professionals on behavioral, emotional, and mental health issues.

Here are the core benefits clients can get from receiving treatments in residential treatment centers:

    Focused Care and Assistance

Residential treatment provides a safer environment for a person going through detox. Symptoms of withdrawal typically emerge after the last dose of the substance or alcohol. Inpatient rehab centers allow their patients to remain sober and receive aid in relieving their withdrawal symptoms. They are being monitored by medical specialists who monitor vital signs and treat unpleasant effects of veering away from the substance or alcohol.

    Successful Treatment

In recent studies towards rehabilitation, experts have observed an increased treatment success rate for those who have received their treatments in residential treatment centers compared to those who have received treatments in outpatient settings. While an addict is in outpatient treatment, they are free to buy liquors anywhere or buy drugs from where they usually do. They make their way home each evening, bringing them back to the environment in which they were involved in drug abuse, significantly increasing the odds of relapse.

    Strong Support System

Another one of the most significant components of substance abuse therapy is the fellowship that grows between counselors, recovering addicts, and other staff members. Many persons may not be able to recover entirely without a network of people who understand the challenges of addiction and can provide the right amount of support. When a patient returns to health, they need to form new social networks and attach themselves to people and things that offer holistic support.

    Reach and Availability of Services

An inpatient rehab program is always available; its offerings include social services that people with substance abuse problems demand. To help people enter and remain in a life of sobriety, treatment centers may offer many benefits, including assisting patients in coming up with an aftercare plan that may include sober living arrangements.

    Record of Treatment

Treatment and admission record is another great thing about receiving rehabilitation in residential treatment centers. Some recovered patients find it challenging to find a new job in some organizations after rehabilitation, especially if they have been involved in some circumstances that have given them a derogatory record. Having a record and documents from residential treatment centers can significantly help prove that the proper treatment has been given; hence, the person is medically considered sober.

While some may believe residential treatment center services are overpriced, an addiction is significantly more expensive than therapy alone. If you know someone who is suffering from addiction, there are options available. Overcoming addiction is challenging, so it is essential to know what organization to contact if you need treatment for yourself or someone else.
