Cardiff-based communications agency Equinox has made a series of promotions and hires following a string of new business wins.

Newly appointed and promoted team members at Equinox.
(L-R, Back) Ross Rondel, Lucy Matthews, Ioan Williams, Sophie Harris.
(L-R, Front) Ellen Leach-Hutchings, Meg Evans, Rhian Floyd.

Sophie Harris has been promoted to Account Director after spending more than five years creating fully-integrated campaigns for the agency. A volunteer on the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) committee in Wales, Sophie specialises in consumer and digital PR and has produced several award-winning campaigns throughout her career.

Also stepping up are Lucy Matthews, Ellen Leach-Hutchings and Megan Evans who move into the role of Account Manager, while Ioan Williams and Rhian Floyd have been promoted to Account Executive.

Ross Rondel completes the new team structure, joining as Account Executive following six months at a London-based digital marketing agency, where he worked across B2B clients including the World Economic Forum and the Varkey Foundation.

The appointments support recent business wins, including Cambrian Railway Partnership, Torfaen County Borough Council’s Time Travel in the Blaenavon World Heritage Site project and STAEDTLER UK’s Back to School campaign — all of which followed a competitive tendering process.

Managing Director at Equinox, Helen Wild, said:

“It’s been an exciting start to the year — winning new business from household name brands and welcoming fresh talent to the agency.

“Having started as an Account Executive at Equinox myself, I’m a huge believer in the importance of nurturing and developing loyal and ambitious members of staff, so I’m delighted to announce these well-deserved promotions which will further strengthen our talented team.”
