Cardiff-based branding and creative agency, Stills Branding, has secured a six-figure equity investment from creative industries specialist, Rockit Media, in a deal that secures its future.

[aoa id=”1″]The agency is one of Wales’ most respected branding, creative and digital consultancies, working with blue-chip companies and organisations across Wales, including Hodge Group, Saucony Footwear, Welsh Water and Welsh Government.[/aoa]

Stills was founded in 1994 in Newport and moved to its Sophia Gardens offices in central Cardiff in 2013. The business now employs 10 staff.

The investment by Rockit Media, which is run by FastGrowth 50 twice winner, Byron Lloyd, will allow Stills to strengthen its services offering and scale up the business through organic growth and acquisitions. Rockit Media will take a controlling equity stake in the restructured business.

    Byron Lloyd said:

“Stills is one of the longest-running creative agencies in Wales and its work is highly visible across a number of sectors. I am looking forward to providing both strategic and practical support to a strengthened management team, which will help them achieve ambitious growth plans.”

Current client services manager, Natalie Wilson takes the helm as Managing Director following the investment. She said: “While we have seen some growth in recent years, the time is now right to focus on our core business and services. Byron’s personal experience and the investment through Rockit will give us the capacity we need to accelerate and seize the opportunities presented by Cardiff’s growing position as a key creative industries hub in the UK.”

Former MD, Steve Sulley will now focus on growth strategy and new business opportunities. Siôn Tudor of Loosemores advised on the deal.
