Pitch@Palace is to host its second On Tour Event in Wales on 11th July 2018.

Tech entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses are being invited to apply for Pitch@Palace 10.0, with its On Tour event in Wrexham now open for applications.

Pitch@Palace was founded by the Duke of York in 2014 as a platform to amplify and accelerate the work of entrepreneurs across the UK. The programme connects entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses with potential supporters, including CEOs, influencers, investors, mentors and business partners.

Pitch@Palace 10.0 will be held on 7th November, Three regional On Tour events and a Boot Camp will take place across the UK.

Pitch@Palace On Tour events provide Entrepreneurs with the opportunity to learn about the Pitch@Palace programme, connect to local stakeholders and receive mentoring to develop their businesses. From those who Pitch at the event, three will be selected to be fast-tracked to Pitch@Palace Boot Camp.

Pitch@Palace Boot Camp provides 42 Entrepreneurs with the opportunity to hear from leading industry experts and Pitch@Palace Alumni, as well as receiving support and mentoring. All participants will be asked to Pitch to a Panel of Judges, who will select 12 Entrepreneurs to Pitch for three minutes at Buckingham Palace on the 7th November 2018. The other Entrepreneurs will Pitch for 30 seconds at Pitch@Palace 10.0.

Pitch@Palace 10.0 is open to any entrepreneurs that have identified opportunities within a broad range of tech sectors, from Biotech and Consumer Technology to Fintech, Smart Cities and Renewables.

Mandy Weston, Co-Founder of Town Square Spaces, the company that manages the Wrexham Enterprise Hub on behalf of Business Wales, said the event was a huge opportunity for growing businesses and the region as a whole.

    Mandy said:

“The Pitch@Palace events are hugely valuable and we are delighted to host one of the three regional Pitch@Palace On Tour events at the Wrexham Enterprise Hub. Many of our members will be looking to the event as an example of what can be achieved when ideas are given support and room to grow. The chance connections that can be made throughout the entire process are remarkable – it only takes one person to think ‘there’s something special here’, and extraordinary things can happen.

“I’d encourage anyone working on an idea in the tech sector to apply, no matter where you are based – if you can get here by train, plane or car – you can be pitching to some very special people. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the potential business leaders of tomorrow to take a giant leap forward today.”

To date, Pitch@Palace has helped over 600 start-up businesses create 2,314 new jobs and has generated over £600m of new economic activity.
