Mobile testing moves to Pyle swimming pool

Mobile coronavirus testing facilities continue to be available for anyone who is experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 in Bridgend County Borough.

A drive-through mobile testing unit provided by Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board will be available between 9am-5pm at the Halo Swimming Pool on Marshfield Avenue in Pyle (CF33 6RP).

A walk-through testing facility is also available between 8am-8pm at the Bowls Hall car park off Bridgend Life Centre (CF31 4AH).

Booking for both facilities is essential and can be arranged by visiting the Welsh Government website or calling 119, while people with hearing or speech difficulties can book an appointment by calling 18001119.

Infection rates are continuing to fall across the county borough, but we must not let our guard down. Anyone who is showing symptoms of coronavirus such as a persistent dry cough, a high temperature or change in their sense of taste of smell should arrange to have a test as soon as possible.

With an online symptoms checker available at the NHS 111 Wales website, testing takes just a few minutes to complete.

If you are symptomatic, please make sure you use these local facilities, and help the community as we continue to fight the spread of Covid-19.
