Welsh charity Adferiad Recovery has announced Welsh actor Michael Sheen as its Patron. In his role Michael will champion the Charity’s cause and highlight its vital work across Wales.
On 1st April 2021 four Welsh charities – Adferiad Recovery, CAIS, Hafal and WCADA – merged to become Adferiad Recovery, a new organisation which will provide support for vulnerable people in Wales and their families and carers. Adferiad Recovery will have a particular focus on people with mental health problems, substance misuse problems, and those with co-occurring and complex needs.
Michael Sheen commented: “The times we are in are challenging in so many ways and all of us are having to adapt in order to move forward. I’m so happy to be Patron of the newly formed Adferiad Recovery as they bring together multiple sources of support and experience to meet the challenges that lie ahead. Well done to all involved and special thanks to the team at Allen & Overy LLP whose pro-bono support has been invaluable.”
