Wales rugby fans and bus users in Cardiff are being urged to plan their journeys ahead of time as the Welsh Summer Tour games commence in Cardiff from Saturday 3rd July.

Travellers are being reminded by Cardiff Bus of diversions and road closures which are set to come into force in the city centre on Saturday as Wales take on Canada for their first game of the tournament at the Principality Stadium.

From 10:30am to 6:00pm on Saturday 3rd July, Saturday 10th July, and Saturday 17th July, diversions will be in place and buses will use alternative city centre stops.

Services 1 and 2 will not serve the rear of Central Railway Station (stop JM and JN) and Baycar will run between the City Centre (Customhouse Street – JG) and Cardiff Bay only and will not serve Kingsway or the rear of Central Railway Station (stop JM) from the time that the roads are closed.

Full details of diversions can be found on the Cardiff Bus website.

Gareth Stevens, Commercial Director at Cardiff Bus said: “To accommodate road closures and to ensure travel can continue without too much disruption, we’ve introduced diversions in the city centre when Wales’ Summer Tour matches are being played at the Principality Stadium.

“We would advise all our customers to check these route changes before travelling on match days to ensure they are fully informed on the diversions in place.”
