Cardiff Business Club Kicks Off New Season of Live Events

Cardiff Business Club is hosting a free launch event to commence its 2021/22 season of networking dinners.

Chairman of Cardiff Business Club, Scott Waddington, will host the reception at the Hilton Hotel on Monday 13th September 2021 which will be the first in-person event the club has hosted since March 2020. The speaker line-up for the start of the new season will be announced while guests are served drinks and canapes.

During the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, Cardiff Business Club hosted monthly Zoom seminars featuring high profile guest speakers addressing an online audience of both members and non-members. Free to all, the virtual events saw Mr Waddington introduce the speakers, which have included Chairman of the Cardiff Capital Region Frank Holmes, The Rt Hon Simon Hart MP, Admiral Tony Radakin and Senior Vice President at Airbus UK Katherine Bennett CBE, followed by an audience Q&A.

The Cardiff Business Club is the leading organisation of its kind in Wales and helps members connect with decision makers from a host of sectors to support and promote their businesses.

Mr Waddington said: “To say we are excited about launching our upcoming series of dinners for the Club is an understatement. It has been a long 18 months without seeing our members and guest speakers in person, however, we have not let the pandemic stand in our way of hosting regular events and have continued to hold virtual get-togethers every month since June 2020 without fail.

“We have been so pleased with the way our associates adjusted to the interim model of speaker events, all of which were extremely well received. We thank all those who attended the sessions and got involved with the interactive Q&A sessions, as well as our notable speakers who gave up their time to be with us – including Mike Batt all the way from Fort Lauderdale, USA.

“The launch reception will be a chance to catch up with current members and meet new peers who want to find out more about the club.”

The Season Launch takes place at Hilton Hotel, Cardiff from 6pm. COVID measures will be in place. Places can be reserved by emailing [email protected]. To find out more, visit www.cardiffbusinessclub.org.
