A yellow weather warning has been issued for parts of North Wales, with heavy showers and thunderstorms expected to bring a risk of flash flooding and travel disruption.
The Met Office warning will be in force from 7pm on Wednesday, 19 August until 10am on Thursday, 20 August.
It covers Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, the Isle of Anglesey and Wrexham.
Heavy showers are forecast to develop during Wednesday evening before becoming more frequent and widespread overnight.
Some areas could receive between 15mm and 20mm of rain within an hour, while totals of 30mm to 50mm could fall over six hours in a few places.
The Met Office said the rainfall could cause localised flooding, including at some homes and businesses. Lightning and hail are also possible.
Motorists have been warned that spray, standing water and hail could make driving conditions difficult and lead to longer journey times. Bus services may also be affected, while delays to trains are possible.
Lightning strikes could damage a small number of buildings or structures. Short-term power cuts and disruption to other services are also considered likely.
The showers are expected to ease from the northwest during Thursday morning.
The warning was issued by the Met Office at 10.17am on Wednesday.
People in affected areas are advised to check the latest forecast, allow extra time for journeys and avoid driving through floodwater.
