Cardiff Bus customers are being alerted to route changes as a result of essential roadworks taking place in Barry.

From Monday 11 October for approximately 6 weeks, Park Crescent will become a one-way system from Colcot in a southerly direction.

As a result, services 96/96A towards Cardiff will follow their normal route to Broad Street/Gladstone Bridge roundabout then divert via Gladstone Road, Buttrills Road, Barry Road and Colcot Road before returning to their normal route.

Service 97 towards Colcot and Service 100 towards Highlight Park will follow their normal route to the Ship Hotel gyratory then divert via Park Avenue, Broad Steet, Gladstone Road, Buttrills Road, Barry Road and Colcot Road before returning to their normal route.

Gareth Stevens, Commercial Director of Cardiff Bus, reminds customers to plan their journeys before travelling.

He said: “We are set to alter routes in line with the one-way system that will come into effect along Park Crescent, Barry due to the essential roadworks being carried out.

“We will do everything possible to minimise the impact these route changes will have on our customers.  The alterations we have put in place are the shortest, and most efficient routes to minimise the disruption caused.

“We apologise for any inconvenience these diversions may cause and we would encourage all our customers to check details before travelling.”
