Orbis Education and Care has appointed Lyndsey Price as its new Managing Director for Adult Services.

The organisation runs 16 schools, residential homes and day facilities for children and adults with complex needs associated with autism and is one of the UK’s leading specialist providers.

Previously, Lyndsey worked in administration, various home management roles and as Regional Manager for West Wales with Orbis. Having originally worked as a carer herself, she also went on to fulfil ‘every role available’ within the care home setting and brings these experiences with her to the new position.

Lyndsey will now play a significant role in the planning and development of new services, and crucially in supporting people development, to help support both Orbis Education and Care as an organisation and the wider care sector in Wales as a whole.

Lyndsey, who lives in Milford Haven, said: “I absolutely love working with our team to help the people we support to achieve their goals, and seeing them do this is an amazing part of the job we do.

“It’s a real delight, therefore, to have been given the opportunity to support the development of our organisation in providing this support more widely, and ultimately for the benefit of more people, through my new role as Managing Director for Adult Services.”

CEO of Orbis Education and Care, Suzanne Lawrence, said: “Lyndsey’s appointment demonstrates Orbis’ commitment to not just meet the necessary industry standards, but to routinely and continually exceed them.”

“Through a combination of hands-on care experience and managerial expertise, Lyndsey is the ideal candidate to support the ongoing growth and development of our wonderful staff, who work so hard to make the lives of those we care for better each and every day.”

“Lyndsey’s career record speaks for itself and it is a true example for anyone who may be thinking about applying to work within the care sector of the opportunities available, and more importantly the difference doing so can make to other people’s lives,” Suzanne added.
