Leading accountancy firm Bevan & Buckland don’t take their fundraising activities lightly.
Their team has once again been raising essential funds for their charity of the year, Tŷ Hafan. Their latest fundraising project saw them take on the iconic Welsh Three Peaks Challenge, with several members of their team scaling Snowdon in the North, Cadair Idris in mid-Wales and Pen y Fan in the South to raise £3,000.00 for the children’s hospice.
The team’s latest fundraiser has seen them raise £4,000.00 for the Tŷ Hafan hospice to date. Bevan & Buckland recently held an inaugural golf day in aid of the charity raising £1,000.00 in total.
“Following a visit to the Tŷ Hafan hospice, I immediately decided that I wanted to raise as much money as possible for the charity. The work they do is truly amazing, and being a parent myself I can really appreciate the service they provide. I got talking to my work colleagues and suggested that we should participate in the Tŷ Hafan Welsh Three Peaks Challenge. Eight of my colleagues were brave enough to join me in the challenge!” said Llinos Williams, Audit Manager at Bevan & Buckland Chartered Accountants.
Bevan & Buckland’s Alison Vickers (who was the team’s driver), Alex Powell, Andrew Silk, Ffion Jones, James Davies, Jan Jones, Johnathan Dight, Lewis Turner, Llinos Williams and Michael Jones all took on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge walking some 17 miles at an ascent of 2,334 metres over the weekend.
The funds raised by the Bevan & Buckland team will help Tŷ Hafan to continue to deliver palliative care to the children and young people who need it as well as provide a much-needed source of strength to their wider families. As one of the UK’s leading paediatric palliative care charities, Tŷ Hafan supplies comfort, care and support to life-limited individuals based throughout Wales so they can truly make the most of the time they have left.
“On Saturday at just gone 4am we started our ascent of Snowdon. We continued our expedition across the stunning Cadair Idris before completing the challenge at Pen y Fan. It was an incredibly long day but a day I will never forget! All of us completed the challenge, which I am extremely proud of, and raised money for an excellent cause,” concluded Llinos.
