    Today, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend and one of the UK’s leading children’s charity Tŷ Hafan are proud to announce a continuation of their long-standing partnership for another year.

    Since 2018, the centre and charity have raised over £25k via fundraising activities in an effort to support the much-needed work and service offering  Tŷ Hafan provides to life-limited children, young people and their families in the hospice, as well as in the community and in their home so they can make the most of the time they have left together.

    Guests of McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend can help support this fantastic cause by getting involved in various campaigns including;

    • Bringing in any used and unwanted clothes to the centre, as part of the Recycle Your Fashion campaign. These clothes will be upcycled for their textile, or sold off for reuse if in good condition, with all money collected being donated to Tŷ Hafan
    • Easy access donation point in the centre will be available from February, customers will be able to directly donate an amount of choice to Tŷ Hafan via a QR code or contactless payment located within the shopping centre
    • Visit the centre’s annual Christmas Memorial Trees, where they will have the opportunity to add their wishes to the Tŷ Hafan Make a Wish tree in exchange for a donation to the paediatric hospice

    Richard Garratt, Centre Manager, said: “As the local community is at the heart of everything we do, we are proud to continue our long-standing charity partnership with Tŷ Hafan.  We are honoured for the opportunity to continue our fundraising efforts for the hospice in raising vital funds and awareness to support children and families who need it the most across the UK.”

    Sorrel Mayo, Senior Fundraising Executive at Tŷ Hafan, said: “We are thrilled to bits that McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend has chosen Tŷ Hafan to be its charity of their year for 2022.  Tŷ Hafan provides care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across Wales, both in our hospice in Sully and in the children’s own homes and communities across the country, and all free of charge. Currently we are working with more than 260 children and their families who are facing some immense challenges on a day-to-day basis and every penny McArthurGlen and its supporters raise for us will make a massive difference to the care and support we are able to provide. So, thank you so everyone for your commitment to supporting us, and we are looking forward to an exciting and productive year in partnership.”
