Mid Wales Opera set to dazzle Llanelli audiences

Llanelli audiences are in for a treat as Mid Wales Opera and Ensemble Cymru bring Puccini’s majestic masterpiece, La Bohéme, to the Ffwrnes stage on 24th March at 7:30pm.

Telling the timeless love story of Rodolfo and Mimi, Puccini’s tour de force celebrates the power of love and friendship. Ensemble Cymru will perform Puccini’s gloriously evocative score, with some of opera’s best loved arias conjuring Parisian cafes as well as the cold reality of the bohemians’ hand to mouth existence. La Bohème concludes MWO’s Puccini in Paris season, delayed for a year by Covid-related theatre closures.

The young bohemians in MWO’s production are depicted by a stellar cast and wealth of Welsh talent. The role of Rodolfo is sung by Welsh Tenor, Robyn Lyn Evans, who was raised in Pont-rhyd-y-groes, Ceredigion, and graduated from Trinity College, Carmarthen. He is delighted to be reprising one of his favourite roles.

The Ffwrnes Theatre is part of Carmarthenshire Council’s trio of theatres, Theatrau Sir Gâr. Covid safety measures remain in place for this performance, please see the Theatrau Sir Gâr website for full details.

Tickets are priced at £17 and £19 and can be purchased through the Box Office on 0345 2263510 or online at theatrausirgar.co.uk
