Powys County Council have job opportunities to help Powys people live well in a place of their choice, doing what matters to them.

Come along to one of the recruitment events across the county to find out more about the opportunities available.

The events are a chance for those interested in the roles to find out about current job opportunities and to ask questions to our friendly team. Our staff will also be on hand to guide and advise on how to complete an application form.

They are inviting anyone interested in a caring career to come along, whether you are starting out in your career, have experience or are just looking for a new challenge.

The events will take place at:

    • Y Gaer, Brecon on 18 May at 10am – 1pm
    • The Hive, Llandrindod Wells on 8 June at 2pm – 5pm
    • Miners Welfare, Ystradgynlais on 15 June at 10 am – 1pm
    • Job Centre, Newtown on 22 June at 2pm – 5pm
    • Job Centre, Welshpool on 29 June at 10am – 12.30pm

There will also be opportunities to chat to our Shared Lives and Fostering teams and find out more about the roles in local children’s residential homes in Brecon and Ystradgynlais.

Ali Bulman, Executive Director People & Organisational Development said “By working for Powys County council, you will receive the support you need to do the job you love, as well as regular supervision and ongoing support. If you are looking to progress your career, we also offer excellent training and development opportunities. Not forgetting the great rate of pay, annual leave allowance and excellent Local Government Pension Scheme.

“We are looking for passionate individuals who want to make a difference to the lives of residents in Powys.

“There are a number of ways you can help, from joining our reablement teams and supporting residents to live independently in their own homes, to providing short breaks or long-term support to children and young people through Shared Lives and Fostering placements.

“If you’re interested in a role where you can make a difference to people’s lives, we have just what you’re after here in Powys.”
