On July 31st in the beautiful Pontcanna fields, take part in the first NHS 5K – Do It Your Way event. Whether you walk, run, cycle, skate, roll, skip, scoot or slide your way to 5K, you can do it however is most comfortable for you. Starting at 10:00am, bring your friends, family, and four-legged furry pals too.

Registration is now open and all funds raised will benefit the health and wellbeing of our patients, staff, and visitors. But don’t delay, and sign-up before the closing date of 16th July!

Cardiff & Vale Health Charity is the official charity of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, and aims to provide extras over and above core funding. Whether that’s by purchasing new equipment, or even artwork to encourage a more positive environment, the Health Charity cannot do so without such generous donations from the public.

Lucie Barrett, Fundraising Team Manager said, “With the launch of the NHS 5K – Do It Your Way, we’re hoping to bring in extra funds to help support our patients even more; they’re always at the centre of what we do.

“Coming to hospital as an in-patient, out-patient, or even a visitor can be quite a stressful time, and we want to ease as much of that anxiety as possible; whether that’s by providing more comfortable seating or interactive artwork around our sites.

“More importantly, this event is accessible to all. We’re looking forward to seeing all our supporters on what will hopefully be a dry, sunny Sunday!”

Tickets are now available at £10 per adult, £5 per child, and £20 per family of four, and with a suggested fundraising goal of £50 per person/family. To sign-up please visit www.healthcharity.wales/events or email [email protected].
