Cardiff Bus has announced changes to its services for Bank Holiday Monday and is encouraging customers to make the most of its summer timetables before the new academic year begins.
Sunday timetables will be followed on Bank Holiday Monday – 29th August – and the operator’s customer service operation will be closed.
With temporary summer timetables ending on Saturday 3rd September, Cardiff Bus is encouraging customers to take advantage of its Summer Services for the remaining weeks of the holidays.
Monday 29th August – 4th September will be the last week during which customers can take advantage of extra baycar journeys to and from Cardiff Bay. The service runs between the city centre and Cardiff Bay every 15 minutes during the day, 7 days a week.
It will also be the last full week of the open top bus, which runs on the 99 service from Cardiff to Penarth Pier, before its last few weekends for the summer season on 10th-11th and 17th-18th September.
For those looking to take advantage of its reduced family ticket, remains available up to Sunday 4th September following which the reduced rate is only on weekends, customers are reminded that Service 32 now runs from the city centre to St Fagan’s National Museum of History.
From Sunday 4th September the current school summer holiday timetables will end and new timetables on several routes will be introduced. The new timetables restore the more typical service frequency seen before the school summer holidays.
Several routes will see new timetables, with many journeys retimed to better reflect the level of congestion the operator’s routes face across its network.
