Leading commercial cleaning company Mrs Buckét has signed an exclusive new contract with Brynteg School in Bridgend, one of the largest secondary schools in Wales.

The new partnership sees Mrs Buckét extend its portfolio of education providers, putting its experience of working in schools and busy workplaces into practice to the benefit of Brynteg’s pupils and staff.

As well as investing heavily in state-of-the-art equipment to ensure that the school is cleaned to the highest possible standard, a new site manager, David Downing, has been appointed to guarantee that everything runs smoothly.

Ryan Davies, Headteacher at Brynteg School said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Mrs Buckét, this is the start of something new and exciting for us. As the school continues to grow, having cleaning staff on site, offering a reassuring presence will be vital.

“Working with our existing cleaning team, Mrs Buckét will be looking after and cleaning our facilities, safeguarding our school and ensuring the best possible learning and teaching environment for our pupils and staff.

“When we were looking at external facilities management providers, we were keen to use a company with relevant experience who would understand the challenges that we face on a day-to-day basis, and we were blown away by the passion and insight shown by Mrs Buckét. The fact that they are a Welsh business was the icing on the cake for us.”

The partnership commenced during the school summer holidays with a recruitment drive by Mrs Buckét to find an additional twelve staff to join their team.

Rachael Flanagan, CEO of Mrs Buckét, said: “This is a really exciting new contract for us and we are really looking forward to getting stuck in. With such heavy footfall throughout the day, as well as a high number of touch points that need regular sanitising, schools are notoriously difficult places to keep clean. By investing in state-of-the-art equipment and cleaning products, having a dedicated cleaning team and employing all our industry knowhow, we are confident that we will be able to elevate Brynteg’s standards of cleanliness, giving everyone at the school peace of mind.

“Gone are the days when cleaning would be carried out early in the morning and evenings when pupils weren’t on site. Now, schools want their facilities management staff to be a visible, reassuring presence which is why we have a dedicated onsite team. This also allows them to respond to incidents as they happen so the school remains a clean, safe environment at all times.”
