Movie loving residents in Swansea aged 50 and over are being made an offer difficult to refuse.

The council’s partnership and involvement team has joined forces with the Odeon Cinema for Silver Screen at 1pm on Tuesdays.

As well a chance to catch some big releases people can also enjoy a hot drink and biscuits for just £4.

Recent screenings have included Elvis, Downton Abbey, Operation Mincemeat and The Railway Children Return.

Council Cabinet Member for Community Support, Hayley Gwilliam, said: “With winter approaching this is a great opportunity for people to get out of the house for a few hours and come together to be entertained and socialise.

“Our Partnership and Involvement team works to make Swansea a city where people live well and age well and this is another great example of the opportunities on offer.”
