It’s that time of year again, the temperatures are dropping, the nights are drawing in… and Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland is back for 2022, as Museum Park once again transforms into a festive wonderland.

Brand new for 2022, students and families can purchase super saver tickets, offering substantial savings on their Waterfront Winterland experience. The super saver student ticket includes skating, an adult meal and choice of beer, small wine, or mulled wine, with a total saving of £6. The family super saver ticket offers two adults and two children, or one adult and three children, a saving of £18 on skating for four, one or two adult meals, 1 or two adult drinks, and two or three children’s meals, with drinks included.

The popular Alpine Village will return this year with its extended seating area for visitors to enjoy festive food and drink, socialise, and soak up the live entertainment.

Skaters can experience a winter wonderland on ice, as they glide across the covered rink and along the ice walk as it meanders through Museum Park’s trees.

Organiser of Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland, Norman Sayers said:

“We’re delighted to be back in Swansea for 2022, and particularly excited about our brand-new super saver tickets offering savings to visitors as we enter this cost-of-living crisis.”

“With our improved and extended layout from 2021 returning this year, we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors back and providing that all important festive cheer.”

Swansea Council cabinet member, Robert Francis-Davies said:

“We plan another exciting Christmas for the people of Swansea including the free annual city centre parade – full details will be announced soon.”

“It’s great to welcome back Norman Sayers to host Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland again this year, and we’re happy that he’s introduced new offers that take into account the cost of living crisis.”

from 8th November 2022 and tickets for the ice rink are on sale now: swanseawaterfrontwinterland.cymru/buy-tickets/

Accessible sessions for skating will be during the first hour of skate sessions every Tuesday.

Traditionally, spaces for skating sessions sell out fast, especially weekend slots. It is recommended to pre-book ice-skating tickets to avoid any disappointment. General admission into Museum Park is completely free for visitors to explore over the winter period.
