Wales is set for a largely dry and warm start to the week, with temperatures reaching 23°C before heavier rain arrives in parts of the country.
The latest Met Office forecast says eastern areas of Wales will see the best of the sunshine on Monday, while western areas are expected to remain much cloudier.
There could also be some outbreaks of drizzle from the cloud, particularly across northwest Wales.
Winds will remain light and it will feel warm in eastern parts of the country, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 21°C.
Conditions will remain cloudy in the northwest overnight, while skies are expected to clear further south.
The clearer conditions could allow mist to develop across southern Wales, while temperatures will fall considerably overnight.
The Met Office says it will turn chilly, with temperatures dropping to a minimum of 7°C and the possibility of grass frost in some areas.
Tuesday is expected to bring another warm day, particularly across southern Wales.
Cloud will remain across northern areas initially but should lift and break up as the day progresses. Further south, brighter conditions and sunny spells are forecast.
Temperatures will be above average, with highs of 23°C possible.
The weather is then expected to change for some parts of Wales from Wednesday.
Northern areas are forecast to turn much wetter, with the possibility of some heavy rain.
Southern parts of Wales are expected to escape the worst of the wet weather and remain mostly dry over the following few days.
Temperatures will also begin to return closer to average as the week progresses.
