Folly Farm brings the fun of the fair to its six new holiday lodges

The fun of the fair has come to Pembrokeshire – as Folly Farm welcomes six themed lodges for visitors staying at its award-winning Adventure Park and Zoo.

Taking inspiration from the resort’s impressive vintage underground funfair, Folly Farm has introduced the rustic “Foresters Lodge” design, from leading park home manufacturer Prestige, to its portfolio of 24 accommodation units.

Prestige’s bespoke three-bedroom, open-plan lodges pay tribute to the farm’s vintage fairground, which boasts 17 rides and a traditional Wurlitzer organ, while also complementing the farm’s popular “Showman’s wagon” boutique accommodation.

The neutral colour palette, which includes artwork of vintage carousels and helter-skelters, gives the self-catering homes a cosy feel, while the floor-to-ceiling, cathedral-style, windows offer sensational views of the farm’s 82ft Big Wheel.

Guests are equipped for the perfect staycation, thanks to its country-style kitchen with shaker-style units, island breakfast bar and dining table. The bedrooms sleep up to six and come fully furnished with comfortable beds, with the master including a luxurious king-size bed and an ensuite shower room.

Keeping with the fairground theme, the lodges include a popcorn maker, hook a duck bath toys and a hoopla game. Guests can also enjoy unlimited free entry to the farm, zoo, fairground and indoor and outdoor play areas during their stay.

The Farm has also added the bespoke option of private decking, hot tub and casual seating area to all the lodges, perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring the 120-acre farm. The homes and water supplies are heated with Biomass, which will no doubt appeal to the more eco-conscious guests.

The decision to expand the accommodation comes after three years of significant growth for the adventure park.

Folly Farm’s Head of Marketing, Zoe Wright explains: “As a family-run business we knew that we needed to keep up with the times. We wanted to give visitors a reason to return, and in 2020 we launched our first phase of holiday accommodation.

“We had to find a leisure home supplier which ticked every box. Our loyal customers expect good quality and value for money, and this is something we’ve found with Prestige.”

Zoe continued: “Like Folly Farm, Prestige has spent years establishing an excellent reputation and takes pride in its brand. We are thrilled that the team were happy to work with us – we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.”

Marketed by Hoseasons, the Forester Lodges include a complimentary luxury Welsh welcome hamper, filled with local products.

After experiencing huge success – and an 80% occupancy rate for lodge bookings for 2022 – Folly Farm has already begun plans to introduce more Prestige homes to the site, this time zoo themed. The VIP ‘Kifaru’ lodges, which will overlook the rhino enclosures, are set to arrive in 2023.

Jonathan Wake, Sales Director at Prestige said: “We are proud to be a part of the next chapter of Folly Farm’s 35-year history, providing our innovative holiday homes to this unique and exciting venture.”
