Neath Port Talbot Council is asking residents and visitors for their views on proposals to invest in the heritage features and visitor facilities at Gnoll Estate Country Park over the next two years.

The proposal was recently submitted to UK Government for funding as part of its Levelling Up opportunities.

The proposals at the park include investment in the visitor centre to enhance the overall catering offer and install indoor soft play provision, the opening up of the Gnoll House Cellars as an interpretive experience, a new woodland play area, self-catering visitor accommodation and various improvements to pathways and heritage structures in the park.

The concept plans are now being made available to view via a drop in session at Gnoll Estate Country Park Visitor Centre on Wednesday 5th April 2023. At the drop in session the public will also be able to talk with the architects who have designed the schemes.

Cllr Jeremy Hurley, Neath Port Talbot Council’s Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Wellbeing said:  “These exciting proposals represent significant investment in facilities at Gnoll Estate Country Park and we would urge residents and visitors of Neath Port Talbot to give us their feedback on the concept plans.”

Cllr Martyn Peters, the council’s Cabinet Member for Economic and Community Regeneration, said: “Full details of the proposal will be available to download on the Gnoll Estate Country Park website gnollestatecountrypark.co.uk/investment following the drop in sessions. Residents and visitors are urged to provide their feedback on the proposal via an online survey which will be accessible via the Gnoll Estate Country Park website.

After the drop in session the project plans will remain on display at the Gnoll Estate Country Park Visitor Centre until the consultation closes on 28th April 2023.
