Haven, the UK’s leading holiday park operator and a Blackstone portfolio company, has announced it is recruiting over 80 new seasonal and permanent team members at Quay West as the holiday season opens for 2023.

Roles are available across a range of positions within activities & leisure and food & beverage, including chefs, lifeguards, front of house, and cleaners at Haven’s Quay West resort. Both full time and part time vacancies are available.

The significant recruitment drive follows an investment of over £170 million in Haven, across multiple parks in 2023, driven by the continued growth of the domestic tourism market. Haven’s December sales saw an increase of more than 40% YOY and January 2023 was the company’s best ever performing January for the sales of self-catered Haven holidays and touring spaces.

Acquired by Blackstone in 2021, Haven has already invested over £230 million in parks across 2021 and 2022 with a commitment to upgrading and modernising all holiday sites to offer guests an unforgettable holiday experience.

In 2023, Quay West is amongst the latest holiday parks to receive investment to enhance the holidaymaker experience, with developments including a completely remodelled ShowBar with a modern feel, state-of-the-art lighting and digital screens. Other developments include a makeover of the family amusement arcade, with the introduction of brand-new machines that completely transform the space for all the family.

Simon Palethorpe, Managing Director at Haven said: “This is positive news for South Wales as the investments we are making as part of our Parks of the Future project will enhance our offering to UK holidaymakers wanting to visit Quay West. Importantly, it will also bring greater employment opportunities and significant economic benefit to the local communities within which we proudly operate.”

Ian Pearce, New Quay councillor said: “It was an absolute privilege to be asked to officially open the new ShowBar on behalf of Quay West. As an owner for over 10 years and a councillor for New Quay, it is great to see some real investment in the amazing park that will create an improved experience for owners and guests.”

Head of Talent Acquisition, Nola Ferguson, said: “We’re thrilled that our holiday parks are now open and with new and exciting facilities being introduced, we can now offer even more opportunities to join our team ahead of what’s undoubtedly going to be another very busy season. We have an array of seasonal roles and permanent careers to fit the needs of local jobseekers and as a nationwide operator, we are proud to support our teams with the right skills and programmes to enable people to thrive in their careers.”

Nationwide, Haven’s latest £170 million investment commitment, will allow the company to offer a wider range of entertainment concepts and upgrades for its homeowners and holidaymakers across the country, whilst also leading to the creation of over 7,000 new seasonal and permanent jobs across its 41 parks.
